'1 . the awakening.
grumbling, i opened up a tortoiseshell eyelid. blinking with my icy blue eyes i gazed around. where... was i? i got up as i noticed my fur was coated in a scarlet red-- not of my own, but of my friend that used to sleep next to me. oh, yes, my name is charlotte. that's not what matters right now, though. this isn't normal-- blood is all over the floor. i mean-- i know i'm in bloodclan, but there's never anything like this. there's just blood, bits of fur, an ear even, and four bones. i don't understand what's happening as i get out of my den, looking at every other den. "hello!?" i yell out, opening my maw to taste the air. there was no... no cat scent. it's all stale and i don't know why. i'm panicking as i keep looking and glancing. suddenly i heard another meow of another cat. "whadda'ya want kid?" she had grunted to me. it was error! phew-- there wasn't just nobody here! "do you not notice how there's no one here?" the drone then looked at me and nodded slowly. "i don't understand it either. suppose we got on a search 'n split up? alright cool i'll go this way you go that way awesome." she meowed, basically ordering me what to do. "wooow. and i'm the sassy one around here?" i grumble under my breath. for once the scent of fear is wavering off of me-- this wasn't anything to not be frightened of, honestly! it was so... quiet. too quiet. too soundless. and it wasn't right. there was always the usual trespassers being stopped with growls, the blood of sparring being splattered to the sandy grounds, the cursing and chatting of others. but none of that seemed to sound here. perking my ears, i padded to the border, seeing there were... a few more corpses than usual! staring in shock, i noticed the ocelot body of misguided. then the innocent kit body of decemberkit. then, oh i couldn't describe it! a quarter of the clan was on the border! i then looked back at where error had gone and i yelled out, "error! i found a lot of corpses from bloodclan!" trying not to stutter. i feel like i'm acting different-- i'm not sassy, i'm not bossy, i'm not rude. and i don't like it! but i kept listening for error to respond. no answer. "error?" i meowed again, looking off into the distance to see that no cat stood there. but suddenly as i stood i was knocked off of my paws, looking around only to notice that it was an invisible opponent-- of course these cowards! but did they do some serious damage. i was pinned on my throat, my back to the sand as the cat began sending blows to my forehead, spilling a lot of blood as i yowled, my voice silencing as i knocked out of consciousness. was... was this an apocalypse? the apocalypse? caused by rogues?
the chuckle of a fire-orange tom cat could be heard through the sandy lands as the red liquid splashed, landing on his companions and himself. "hah! i think we should'a captured more'a them! it's so hiiiiiilarious watching them helplessly flail around, huh?" he crowed, flickering into visibility as his friend, trap, meowed, "i agree, flame!" he snickered, clawing at charlotte's eye. "now, now, we don't want to just kill her off, no? sure, do whatever you please but you probably want'er alive, right?" a female's voice then sounded. it was quite interesting how they shared the same type of language, blending their words together. her name had been ice; the exact opposite of flame. it was funny though, they made a good duo. trap was a dark brown cat with white tipped ears and green eyes, as ice was an albino with her quite creepy light scarlet optics. ice's red orbs went over charlotte in disgust, glaring and meowing, "we can have some of them work for us. make them do our dirty work while we kick back 'n stuff. also we can do the same with that drone! drones follow commands, do they not?" she sneered. trap nodded, adding, "you always get the good ideas!" in annoyance. ice rolled her eyes at the younger cat. "oh shut it, will ya? at least we got the idea so we didn't never get it."
"will you too quiiiiiit bickerinn' an' help me drag em back to base?"
"well, trap started it anyway, bein' all whiney and stuff."
"i don't care who the heck started it mmkayyyy? just drag."
trap narrowed his eyes at ice, but said nothing as he kept dragging error and ice helped flame pull charlotte. their base was an old prison, abandoned and nobody ever went there. you know, except for these crazy rogues. finally, they entered. the prison actually worked quite well-- like a real one almost. the cats would stay at the top, having a camera to see them. the cat would speak into the speaker and tell why they needed the doors open, and they'd open it, blah, blah, blah, all of that stuff. flame then meowed, "moooore captives, let me in now!" snickered the red-orange feline, watching as the doors creaked open. dragging the bodies, ice let go of charlotte to go and open the lock, using her claws to open it and let the tortoiseshell female in. you see-- their claws were a stranger shape. the lock only opens to their claws, not any other rogue. it was merely impossible for them to open it, no matter how hard they tried. trap did the same things with the other cell, kicking the chimera drone into there as flame muttered, "ah, we're going to have some fun."
based on some of my characters & wcrpg's bloodclan. not all of the cats that died in the story died in actual roleplay.
