A hefty brown tabby appeared in the distance, and while still a little ways away, he waved his tail in greeting. As he approached the sour tom, he offered a friendly smile to contrast. "Hello there. What business do you have here?"

okay so the plot at the beginning was that several cats had a prophetic dream that they would meet in a specific clearing and start a clan. those cats got together in this thread. that one's old now, but you can still create a character that had the dream if you'd like and make a new joining thread for them! you can also make a character join that has not had the dream. a few of us have even reincarnated some of our old favorite characters that have/will have their former memories but that's up to you if you want to go there.

this thread was where many of them were coming up with ideas for how the clan was going to be run. i think this one is still going, but because things took so long to figure out we might just end coming up with new things ooc just so we can get the roleplay moving.

speaking of which, my character tigger was just recently made leader and i may have him make more decisions on his own so that the process isn't so slow, but still happening ic. he still has things to figure out and discuss and announce in that thread but no one has replied yet because we're in an inactive funk but that's okay. here is that thread.

everything else has just been characters joining and such. we haven't gotten very far because of the whole 'creating a clan ic' thing but we're hoping to do less of that now and speed things up. that is, when it gets more active again. here is also a map of lightclan and landmarks of lightclan.

( since tigger was voted leader a while ago, i've finally decided to just get the roleplaying rolling by starting off with his promotion. doing everything ic was cool but it's slow and i think this is a good decision. sorry i didn't discuss it much with anyone, let me know if this bothers you and we can figure something out. i'm still gonna try and let tigger run it ic, but if anyone wants anything changed ooc that's fine too. sorry this took so long!!)

Tigger climbed up the tallest tree and sat down among its low hanging branches. He cleared his voice and let out a yowl to gather the scattered group of loners and rogues. Sitting up straight, he looked around at the dwindling crowd making its way over. He wouldn't be surprised if a few had slipped away from the group over these past weeks, tired of waiting for the supposed prophecy to come true. However, he wasn't gonna let that stop him. They needed a push if they were going to be anything, and now he was going to be that.

After several had showed up, maybe even less, Tigger began his monologue. "Great! Hey everyone! Listen up. I know it's been less than..great. It's not what was expected. Or maybe for some of you pessimists, this was exactly what you were expecting. Instead of joining together to create a powerful and united clan of friends and family and chums, we're just a bunch of weird neighbors and it's getting old, I know," he said, interrupting himself with a chuckle. "So here's the deal. We've been passing around ideas and whatnot and I think the best way to go is to appoint a leader. Obviously we're not going anywhere where we are now. The biggest and most effective change would be through someone who can take charge and command, but also listen to the clan and do what's best for it. With everyone's support, I believe I can fill that."

"Now, now, before y'all let out what you wanna say, I want to say that I'm not gonna be a dictator. I don't want that. We're gonna keep working together. If you guys have an opinion about how I run things, say it to my face and we'll work it out like civil feline friends," he said. "So, are you with me? Are you not? Go ahead and say what you want now because I have a lot more to say."

Tigger appeared, walking over to the group pulling back together after another failed hunt. "Hey guys! What's the meeting for? Did I miss-" he said, pausing when he saw the tiny pile of prey. He spoke again, now lowering his voice, "Ah, I see." He looked around at the few cats all gathered in one spot and not doing much as far as he could tell. "What, you all waiting for something to happen?"

Tigger appreciated that the stranger's mind seemed elsewhere at the moment, since that meant that he had probably missed his little fumble back there. He carried on as usual and slowed in front of Tatter..Tatterdawhat? He found himself distracted by that strange name for a moment, but the tom continued so he had to move on. A mention of the familiar dream many of their clan members had had brought a smile to his face. "Ah, yes. The dream. Well, you're in the right place then. That's the whole reason this clan was started, " he said. "The fuss is that me and a few others were brought here by the same dream, or hallucination, whatever that was. And now we're a clan of sorts! Pretty neat, eh?"
