okay so the plot at the beginning was that several cats had a prophetic dream that they would meet in a specific clearing and start a clan. those cats got together in this thread. that one's old now, but you can still create a character that had the dream if you'd like and make a new joining thread for them! you can also make a character join that has not had the dream. a few of us have even reincarnated some of our old favorite characters that have/will have their former memories but that's up to you if you want to go there.

this thread was where many of them were coming up with ideas for how the clan was going to be run. i think this one is still going, but because things took so long to figure out we might just end coming up with new things ooc just so we can get the roleplay moving.

speaking of which, my character tigger was just recently made leader and i may have him make more decisions on his own so that the process isn't so slow, but still happening ic. he still has things to figure out and discuss and announce in that thread but no one has replied yet because we're in an inactive funk but that's okay. here is that thread.

everything else has just been characters joining and such. we haven't gotten very far because of the whole 'creating a clan ic' thing but we're hoping to do less of that now and speed things up. that is, when it gets more active again. here is also a map of lightclan and landmarks of lightclan.

we've been kind of inactive lately but i know i've been available to roleplay for a while. you haven't been here for the most recent reboot right?? we restarted by creating the clan in character. so far we have a leader ic and a chosen deputy and clan name that haven't happened in character yet. there's not too much in the board now and it would be easy to look through but i can give you a summary if you'd like!

( since tigger was voted leader a while ago, i've finally decided to just get the roleplaying rolling by starting off with his promotion. doing everything ic was cool but it's slow and i think this is a good decision. sorry i didn't discuss it much with anyone, let me know if this bothers you and we can figure something out. i'm still gonna try and let tigger run it ic, but if anyone wants anything changed ooc that's fine too. sorry this took so long!!)

Tigger climbed up the tallest tree and sat down among its low hanging branches. He cleared his voice and let out a yowl to gather the scattered group of loners and rogues. Sitting up straight, he looked around at the dwindling crowd making its way over. He wouldn't be surprised if a few had slipped away from the group over these past weeks, tired of waiting for the supposed prophecy to come true. However, he wasn't gonna let that stop him. They needed a push if they were going to be anything, and now he was going to be that.

After several had showed up, maybe even less, Tigger began his monologue. "Great! Hey everyone! Listen up. I know it's been less than..great. It's not what was expected. Or maybe for some of you pessimists, this was exactly what you were expecting. Instead of joining together to create a powerful and united clan of friends and family and chums, we're just a bunch of weird neighbors and it's getting old, I know," he said, interrupting himself with a chuckle. "So here's the deal. We've been passing around ideas and whatnot and I think the best way to go is to appoint a leader. Obviously we're not going anywhere where we are now. The biggest and most effective change would be through someone who can take charge and command, but also listen to the clan and do what's best for it. With everyone's support, I believe I can fill that."

"Now, now, before y'all let out what you wanna say, I want to say that I'm not gonna be a dictator. I don't want that. We're gonna keep working together. If you guys have an opinion about how I run things, say it to my face and we'll work it out like civil feline friends," he said. "So, are you with me? Are you not? Go ahead and say what you want now because I have a lot more to say."

Scratch was adjusting to Clan life well - at least, as much of Clan life they knew and followed. They were primarily loners living together and occasionally interacting. Which, is she was honest, Scratch didn't mind to much. To jump into too much commitment at once would scare her, and maybe a few others, off. It felt nice to go slow.

However, with more and more cats showing up with knowledge of the dream, she was beginning to wonder how long this act could go without a leader. How long before it became a power struggle, before a fight ensues. She got a bit nervous, but hid the fear under her smile as she bounced up beside Tigger. She brushed his fur with hers, a harmless interaction that she gave everyone, and proudly shown her slightly shorter stature to the new feline.

"I can show you there! I'm Scratch, by the way. Sorry for just hopping in the way I did," she apologized with a snort laugh, leaning back and waiting to see if Tatterdemalion would take her offer.

Hal quickly followed the other, letting thoughts wander through his mind as he did so. He pushed them away and focused on where he was going when he nearly stumbled over a loose stone, ignoring his embarrassment in favor of simply finding his way to the camp.
